CANCELLED - Girls Volleyball Practice - January 9 Due to possible inclement tomorrow, we are cancelling practice for Tuesday, January 9. Our first game is still scheduled for Wednesday, January 10 at 4:15pm at Chaney-Monge.

CANCELLED - Girls Volleyball Practice - December 28 Due to unexpected maintenance needed in the gym, we have to cancel practice for tomorrow, Thursday, December 28. Currently we will still have practice on Friday. If this changes we will let you know.

Good evening Rockdale Ram Nation. This is to serve as a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, May 26th is the last day of school for the 22-23 school year and it is a 12:30 pm student dismissal day. Students will be served lunch before dismissal. As a reminder starting Tuesday, May 30th, the main school office will be open Monday thru Thursday from 8 am-3 pm. Please note that there will be extensive renovations taking place this year over the summer. Should this change our availability over the summer we will advise you of the situation. Rockdale Ram Nation! The Rockdale School National Junior Honor Society would like to thank you for your generous donations to their service project for Paws Up 4 Rescue. NJHS students were able to collect bins full of food, toys, and blankets, as well as over $200 in monetary donations! We’d like to extend congratulations to our three graduating members, Ryan Cooling, Gaby Gonzalez, and Emma Nichols! We look forward to seeing how you’ll continue uphold the pillars of the National Junior Honor Society! If you have any suggestions for what our returning and future students can do for service projects in the future, please reach out to Ms. Kirk. Yesterday, Thursday, May 11th, Rockdale School was contacted by the Illinois Department of Transportation regarding the project to replace the bridge carrying Wheeler Avenue over Interstate 80, in Joliet. It will require a full closure of Wheeler Avenue, between Woods and Park Avenues beginning, weather permitting, Monday, May 22 through November. This could have an impact on Rockdale families. A posted detour will direct motorists to Meadow Avenue, Larkin Avenue (Illinois 7) and Jefferson Street (U.S. 52). Motorists should also expect occasional overnight lane closures on I-80 at the bridge during that time. Thanks for your time and consideration. I wanted to make sure everyone was in the loop.
